South of Murfreesboro along Highway 231 and Shelbyville Pike, Christiana is acreage country: farmhouses under 100-year-old oaks and maples, cedar thickets along the fence lines, and new homes on five-acre lots carved out of old pasture. The tornado that came across from Carter Crossroads on March 15, 2025 — an EF-1 with 95-mile-an-hour winds — tore up outbuildings and barns and left extensive tree damage along Jones Road and Williams Road before it died out near Highway 231. A year and a half later we're still taking down the trees it loosened.
Work out here is about access and size: a 90-foot oak over a farmhouse a quarter mile from the road, a cedar line along a half mile of fence, a hackberry-choked creek bank. We bring the equipment the job needs — bucket, crane, mulcher — and price it in writing after we've walked it.

Unincorporated Rutherford County has no tree-removal permit for private property, in our experience. Trees on the state highway right-of-way are TDOT's; everything on your land is yours.
